Our Facility
When you bring you pet to Twin Ports Spay/Neuter, you can rest assured that they are in the most capable hands. Our attending veterinarian is licensed and we meet all veterinary guidelines and the standards of the guidelines for spay/neuter set published by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians. Our facility contains a surgical suite and kennel space for up to 70 companion animals. Our kennels are separated into four different groups: cats and dogs, and then into public or transport animals. All animals are under anesthesia during surgery, receive quality pain medication, and are monitored closely. We pay great attention to detail in creating a safe and efficient work flow for our staff and visitors. Today we continue to operate to the highest of care and compassion.

When you drop off your pet to be altered you will be in our lobby. On any given day there can be 3-30 people dropping off their pets to be altered. It can get a little crowded in the mornings.

Once your animal is admitted they go to the Veterinarian for their exam prior to surgery. They will be weighed, heart and lungs listened to and receive their pre-surgical medications. Then it is off to their home away from home.

After surgery animals lay here on the "Beach" until they are awake and ready to go back to their kennels. The "Beach" is named because there are 2 heating sources under the main blanket that keep the animals warm. They may also get a rice sock that had been heated that they can cuddle with until they are ready to go back to their kennel.
