Tammy Schilling, DVM
A Duluth native, Dr. Schilling grew up on a farm where her family raised dairy cattle and hogs. She attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth and earned her undergraduate degree in Biology. After her time at UMD, Dr. Schilling attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota, she graduated in 2008.
Dr. Schilling keeps incredibly busy between her time spent at Twin Ports Spay/Neuter and spending time with her family.
Chelsea Bartels, Certified Veterinary Technician/Practice Manager
Chelsea is a Minnesota native with a degree in Veterinary Technology from Duluth Business University. She was a member of the Medical Staff at Animal Allies Humane Society for four years before she joined the Twin Port Spay/Neuter team in January of 2015.
Chelsea has a very lively household which includes two Great Danes (Hutson, and Finley), two cats (Melon and Carlos), and a chinchilla (Cous Cous - "a pet so nice we named him twice"). Away from work, Chelsea loves spending time with family and adventuring with her husband and two Great Danes.
Ashley Cooper, Veterinary Assistant
Ashley is a Duluth native with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the College of St. Scholastica. She was a member of the Adoption Staff as well as the Medical Staff at Animal Allies Humane Society for three years. Ashley joined the Twin Ports Spay/Neuter team in February 2016.
When not at work, Ashley loves showing her family's Tennessee Walking horses and spending time with her husband, two cats (Chandler and Joey), and two dogs Freya (Bernese Mountain Dog) and Kona (Golden Retriever).
Nichole Freer, Veterinarary Assistant
Nichole is native to Saginaw, MN. Nicole joined the Twin Ports Spay/Neuter team as a Veterinary Assistant in August 2017.
When not at work, Nichole enjoys hiking with her German Shepherd Dog (Lacey) and Golden Retriever (Odin). She also enjoys mudding in her free time.
Abbie Kukeilka, Veterinary Technician
Abbie is a Minnesota native that attended Duluth Business University. She graduated in June 2018 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She recently joined the Twin Ports Spay Neuter team in February 2019. Abbie is currently studying to take the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) to obtain her certification in Veterinary Technology.
In her spare time Abbie loves to sample the local breweries and hang out with her two fiesty felines Daisy and Leo. Leo was a bottle baby through Twin Ports that made a purrfect addition to Abbie's family!
Rachel Poitra, Veterinary Assistant
Gina Pydynkowski, Veterinary Assistant
Gina is a Minnesota native. She attended the College of St. Scholastica where she earned her degree in Biology and minored in Chemistry and Art.
In her spare time Gina love to draw, read, binge-watch her favorite shows and hike. Gina has 2 Guinea Pigs (Tamsin & Valkyr) and 4 cats (Midnight, King Richard, Allison, and Katie Kat).
Megan Nelson, Receptionist/Office Manager
Megan was born in Illinois and has lived in four different states due to her father serving in the military. Before transferring to Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College, Megan attended Duluth Business University and studied Veterinary Technology for a year and a half.
When not at work, Megan loves spending time with her family and her "fur babies." Megan has a two German Shepherd Dogs (Tango and Kaija), six cats (Ria, Chilly, Ice, Buddy, Blackie Chan, and THE CRITTER), one Bearded Dragon (Marshmello) and a quarter horse (Sophie). She really enjoys working with animals (and owning them apparently) and joined the Twin Ports Spay/Neuter team May 2015.
Faith Thompson, Receptionist
Faith was born in Park Rapids, MN and grew up in southern Missouri where her family bred and raised Paint and Quarter racehorses. She returned to Duluth, MN ten years ago.
When not at work, Faith loves spending time with her three children, her dog (Jimrubick) , four cats (Reggie, Berlioz, Janus, and Mars), and quarter horse (Gus Gus). Faith finds enjoyment working with animals and joined the Twin Ports Spay/Neuter team October 2017.
